These super fun crochet shorts are meant to fit like bike or workout shorts. Stretchy yarn like wool works best! There are many alternative options available depending on the look you’re going for. You could even make them into a skirt.

This isn’t ideal as a first pattern, but I consider it suitable for advanced beginners and intermediates. Knowledge of Slip Stitching for ribbing, Single Crochet, Half Double Crochet, and Bobble Stitch required.

3mm + 4mm hook. Light DK and Worsted yarn.

These shorts are worked in the round from the waistband down. The waistband can be folded in half to hide the elastic or a drawstring inside. You can choose not to fold the ribbing, too. The rise of these is up to you.
