Have you made a crochet mug rug before? Designed to look like a miniature rug, it’s usually rectangle in shape instead of a traditional round coaster. They’re often slightly bigger and can include fun little details like tapestry work or tassels.

I’m happy to share my version of a crochet mug rug, made larger and divided by bobbles into two sections: one spot to place your tea/coffee and the other side to rest your spoon. Because this project is made from cotton, it’s easy to wash when needed.

Inside the paid pattern you will find:

  • Detailed written instructions
  • Clear photos
  • Simple written format with helpful photos
  • Required tools, approximate yardage required

Materials Needed:

  • Approximately 57 yards of worsted weight cotton yarn. I used WeCrochet Dishie in the “Verdigris” colourway
  • 4mm hook
  • Yarn needle
  • Scissors
  • Measuring tape

This pattern has been tested so you can feel confident in your purchase! Please note this is a digital file and not a finished product. There will be no refunds on digital products.
