This bobble spot baby blanket is inspired by the color-changing favorite Put Me In the Zoo by Robert Lopshire.

I love to crochet with scraps and I did on this blanket, even with the yellow background. If I were to buy yarn for just this blanket, I would choose Brava Worsted Acrylic in Canary from KnitPicks.

The spots are made from a combination of orange, violet, green, and blue like the animal in the book. Again, I used a variety of hues to give the blanket dimension, but you could incorporate all kinds of color for this. It would be a great way to use up tiny bits of yarn, as long as you don’t mind weaving in all of the ends!

Watch the tutorial video for how to crochet in ends as you go. It’s so nice to have a finished blanket without all of that finishing work to do!
