Although complicated in appearance, the stitch pattern of this short sleeve cardigan is deceptively uncomplicated. Columns of bobbles on a stockinette stitch ground are set off by lace vertical stripes narrow enough to be modest. Ruffles edging the neck, the sleeves, the bottom edge and the fronts are created in garter stitch. Bobbles made while knitting the button band become the buttons. Dressy enough for an evening out while still being appropriate for the office, this graceful top will garner complements wherever you go.
