Bobby’s Socks!

Whip up a pair of soft pair of crocheted socks for those days when ‘bare’ is a bit too bare and your feet need a hug!

The heel is created first with increasing rounds of single crochet. The foot section is worked next in spiral rounds of half-double crochet stitches that change back to single crochet for the toe decreases. The cuff is worked flat in vertical ribbing around the foot opening.

All single-crochet and half-double crochet stitches are worked in the front-loop only (FLO) or back-loop only (BLO) for extra comfort and “squish.” Don’t worry if you don’t know what is meant by FLO or BLO. These techniques are both explained in the pattern reference guide.

The pattern also includes complete instructions for finding your stitch gauge and “Magic Number,” so you can adjust this pattern to fit any foot.

Two options for completing the cuff allow you to choose whether to construct a loose, easy cuff or a snugger, slightly more complicated cuff.
