Each of these botanical washcloths is a perfect piece of knitting, with simple shaping and a dollop of memorizable lace. And that sweet I-cord hanging loop? Divine.

For the samples, we used linen yarn, which elevates the most humble household handknit with its elegance, easy care, and endurance.

When a knit hits that sweet spot, we want to crank them out, one after another, fill drawers with them, give them to all our friends with a bar of beautiful soap. Invite one of us to dinner: You get a Camembert from Trader Joe’s and a little stack of leaves. New baby? Leaves of linen will be showered upon you, in a matter of days. This is so easy and so fun.
