A fun bag which looks fabulous in Noro Silk Garden colorways. It is knit with a slightly smaller needle than usual for its gauge (to create a firmer fabric) and features a monk’s cord strap and tassels. It can be lined with fabric for greater stability if desired.

The smallest size is quite small - a purse for a cell phone, keys, lipstick and credit card - and not much more. The largest bag is still not voluminous but can accommodate normal purse contents.

This design could also be felted if desired, using 100% wool (Kureyon would be great) and knit with a size 91/2-10 needle to give room for shrinkage.

Clarification: On the pattern under base triangles row 5 the slip 1 abbreviation doesn’t have a space between it, so it looks like sl1. It’s not s 11, but sl 1.
