The history of the cuff bracelet as adornment is intriguing and extending through ages. In the past the cuff was an important measure of social class and family. It was worn by the Romans, Egyptians, throughout Africa, China and the Americas made in various materials and showing different designs denoting culture and tradition. Today cuff bracelets are among the most
popular of jewelry. And we are going to make one out of yarn.

Supplies:
DK yarn of your choice for the bracelet and a 3.00 mm hook (UK11) (US 10/3)
sport yarn and a 1.9mm hook (UK 3) (US 5) for the flowers, leaves and accents

  • sewing thread in color matching the color of the bracelet (preferably)
  • sewing needle for sewing the flowers, leaves and accents on, tapestry needle for weaving ends of bracelet. Optional: glass / pearl beads, sequins. Stitches: chain (ch), skip (sk), slip stitch (sl st), single crochet (sc), half double crochet (hdc), double crochet (dc), treble (tr), picot. American terminology used. Measurements of finished bracelet: 16 cm (6.29”) across and 6 cm (2.36”) down.
