Boldly Go to where you haven’t gone before and learn a new technique with these socks. The cables require a little more stitch shuffling than usual. The cables are offset, and this sock uses a traditional heel and toe.

Finished Size: S (M, L) 7” (8”, 9” around), unstretched

Yarn: End of the Row Yarns 80/20 Sock, 80% Superwash Merino/20% Nylon, 400 yards/100 grams (Sample knit in Island Life).

Needles: Set of 5 double-pointed needles or two circular needles size 2 US (2.75 mm), or size to obtain gauge. Each knitter is different!

Gauge: 8 stitches per inch in stockinette, knit in the round.

You will need a cable needle for this pattern. It involves a three-step cable shuffle rather than the typical two.
