The Bolle (bo-lay) cowl is defined by the delicate Cabled Bubbly Lace that twists through the central panel, accented by the mirroring cables at the top and bottom of the cowl.

The cowl is written in one size, but is easily customizable by repeating the sections or adding multiples to the center panel, and completed by grafting to the provisional cast on. There are also several additional customization options at the end of the pattern for knitting up a scarf instead!

You also have a choice of knitting in Sport or Lace weight yarn!

The sport weight yarn version will require the US 5 (3.75 mm) needles and approximately 250 yards.

The lace weight yarn option requires the US 1.5 (2.5 mm) needles and approximately 270 yards.

The yarn I used was handspun barberpole magenta and rocky road. I recommend the Wool of the Andes Sport yarn, two 50 g balls or the Shadow Lace Yarn, one to two 50 g balls from Knit Picks.

The crochet hook is used for the Russian Grafting method, so it is unneeded if you use the Kitchener grafting method or making a flat scarf.
