> Bondi Girl Vest

Bondi Girl Vest
This V-neck is worked flat from the bottom up in stockinette stitch, with the Bondi Girl motif added later using Duplicate Stitch. You will work the back first to customise the length to your preference before working the front. There is an option to work the bottom section to the armhole in the round.
You will adopt sophisticated decreasing stitches at both the armholes and neck to provide an elegant finish. The neck and armhole trims are worked in rib stitch in the round, and offer the opportunity to introduce a contrasting colour to enhance the vest’s visual appeal.
You will join the shoulder seams using the Horizontal Mattress Stitch technique and then use the Mattress Stitch to bring the sides together if not knit in the round.
SarahMo’s Knitting Journey
SarahMo’s ‘Knitting Journey’ methodology is for all knitters, but it is developed in a way to provide beginners with hope and inspiration. It is graded from 1 to 10 to help knitters navigate their knitting journey.
This pattern is graded Level 6 because of the Duplicate Stitch technique and the sophisticated decreasing stitches around the neck and armholes.
The neck and armholes are broken down line by line to simplify the process of shaping the neck and armholes to ensure a graceful, tailored finish.
Don’t be daunted by the embroidery to create Bondi Girl as this is broken down using simple techniques.
