Sometimes you just need a sock that’s mindless and relaxing – especially if you’re new to sock knitting. That’s where the Bondi Socks come in. Bondi is a basic sock pattern, ideal for new sock knitters and for those knitters who just need a bit of mindless (but not too mindless) knitting. Just a little more than stockinette stitch, the garter rib keeps you from getting too bored with the sock, but is still simple enough that you can carry on a conversation while knitting. Why Bondi? These socks remind me of the time I spent at Bondi Beach – calm and quiet, with just a touch of excitement.

These socks have been designed with my four-week Top Down Sock Class at fibre space in mind and have been divided up by week appropriately. Use your favorite technique for knitting in the round: DPNs, two circulars, or magic loop. If you’re unsure what your favorite technique is, knit each sock using a different technique!

This pattern includes instructions for both fingering and sport weight yarns.
