Bonnet Cocoon is an original pattern, written by Rachel Barrett. It has been designed as a burial item for Heaven Born Babies aka Angel Babies (babies born too soon). These micro preemie babies are too small and fragile to be dressed.

Designed specifically for Heaven Born Babies, and to be delivered to Hospital Labor & Delivery Bereavement Units always free of charge.

Yarn: #4 Worsted Weight (Red Heart Super Saver works great as it should be sturdy, not soft and floppy). White preferred for smaller sizes, pastels may be used for larger sizes.
Hook: I-9
Stitches Used: ch, sc, hdc, dc, tc (larger sizes only)
