The Bonnieux cardigan is an elegant cropped cardigan with bell sleeves featuring a vintage French floral lace motif. It is named for the Bonnieux Valley in Provence, France where one can find beautiful fields of poppies in May.

The cardigan is knit from the top down with Raglan shaping. The body is knit flat and finished with an i-cord bind-off, and then sleeves are knit in the round and finished with an i-cord bind off. Optional decrease instructions are included for the sleeves in case you want a narrower fit. Stitches are then picked up around the front of the cardigan to make a double-knit buttonband.

The lace pattern is both written and charted.
