You can work these ghosts in any yarn on an appropriate hook to get a tight gauge. The pattern is for 4 ply weight cotton on a 2.5 hook and the finished ghosts are roughly 2.5” tall.

You could make tiny earring sized ones with Gutterman sewing thread on a 0.75 mm hook.

Or a much bigger plushie sized ghosts with a chenille yarn and a 4mm hook, you choose!
