The Book Shop Cardigan is inspired by the warm and cosy feeling of browsing through your favourite book shop. The fluffy texture combined with simple cables gives this cardigan a rich and cosy feeling. Knitted top down with saddle shoulders this cardigan is designed to be fitted on the shoulders and sleeves. You can of course opt for any button style you like!

The cardigan is worked top down with saddle shoulders in one piece. at the same time short rows and cables are worked. As such this is not a beginner friendly pattern, some experience with short rows and cable knitting would be beneficial. However detailed instructions are given.

Sizes:

A (B, C, D, E) (F, G, H, I)

32” (36”, 40”, 44”, 48”) (52”, 56”, 60”, 64”)

86cm (91cm, 106cm, 116cm, 126cm) (136cm, 146cm, 156cm, 166cm)

Yarn:

Sample knitted in drops wish (70m / 50g).

Any yarn that meets the gauge may be used, however drops wish used in the sample is a blown yarn as such it is very chunky for its yardage, if you choose a heavier roving or worsted spun yarn the garment may become much heavier and you may want to go down an additional needle size for the neck and ribbing.
