A boreen (or Bóithrín in Irish) is a very small, narrow road.
I have named this gently cabled pattern, Boreen, as I see the centre panel as the boreen and cables as the ditches on either side.

This pattern is knitted flat using straight needles. The pattern is just 8 rows repeated to the required length. It is an excellent pattern for beginner cable knitters as there is only 1 cable row per repeat.

This pattern is knitted flat using straight needles.

This is a row by row written pattern. No chart.

You will need to block this scarf as it will curl otherwise.
