Meet Boris, the dapper polar bear who’s ready to melt hearts while staying perfectly chill.
Sporting a stylish red bow or scarf he is made from african flower motifs.
Boris is proof that frozen and be fabulous.
Fun Fact: Boris doesn’t hibernate- he patiently waits for yarn deliveries and compliments.
Materials
All weights are approximate and will vary depending on the brand of yarn you choose and how tightly you crochet.
I used Stylecraft special dk for this pattern.
You can of course use any brand of double-knit/light/ 3 weight
This pattern would also work using aran/worsted/4 weight yarn but would be much bigger.
White- 140g
Red - scarf or bow 20g
Safety eyes 24mm
Toy stuffing.
Hooks required
2.5 mm
3.5mm- for optional scarf.
Size
By using this yarn and hook sizes your finished Penguin will be roughly
38 cm/15 inches in height
25 cm/10 inches in width.

All the crochet stitches used in this pattern are based on American crochet terms
Ch = chain stitch
Sc = single crochet
Hdc = half double crochet
Dc = double crochet
Tr = treble crochet
Inc= single crochet increase
Dec = single crochet decrease
FLO = Front loop only
BLO = Back loop only
This pattern is easy to follow but requires basic crochet knowledge. It is written in US terms but easy to convert to UK.
It is worked in African Flower shapes with instructions on how to make them. Written form with photographs and handy hints to follow for assembly.
