CROCHET PATTERN
A close fitting balaclava pattern with a modified half double crochet stitch. The resulting fabric is dense, warm, and aesthetically similar to knit. Easily adjust the neck warmer in both length and width.

SKILL LEVEL
Moderate.

SIZES
Child, small, medium, large. For best fit, choose the finished balaclava circumference within 1-2” {2.5-5cm} of actual head circumference (see size chart in photos).
CHILD: Finished hat circumference 19”/48cm
SMALL: Finished hat circumference 21”/53cm
MEDIUM: Finished hat circumference 22.5”/57.5cm
LARGE: Finished hat circumference 24.5”/62.5cm

HOOK
4mm hook (or hook size that achieves correct gauge) & a hook size 1mm smaller (for ribbing portions).

YARN REQUIREMENTS
Approximately 140 (180, 220, 270, 325, 385) yards of worsted weight yarn.

YARN SAMPLE
Custom-dyed 4-ply Worsted Weight (185yds/100g).
• Fiber Blend: Superwash Merino (80%), Cashmere (10%), Nylon (10%).

MAIN GAUGE
Main Gauge: 12.5 stitches & 20 rows per 4”{10cm} in modified half double crochet.
