Description: a home-themed decorative Mandala wall hanging. This is a quick, one day project ( less if you’re a fast crocheter ) using bits of yarn from my stash. However, you can increase or decrease the size depending on your yarn weight and hook size. I’ve used a 10” embroidery hoop, removed the tension screw and attached a hangy-thingy, of course, you can use any other additional bling, or keep it sweet and simple. This is a great project to make when you’re relaxing between more challenging projects. There are also 2 x Bonus Rounds!

Skill Level: there is a full Instruction Video, so you can’t go wrong, even if you’re a Beginner.

Crochet Terms: US ( but go up a size for UK terms eg: US sc = UK dc ).

Yarn: stash busted local brand of acrylic DK yarn ( Elle Family Knit ) and Stylecraft Special DK but feel free to use any DK weight Yarn of your choice. Colours used here are easy to match up. I have added the colour name and matching Stylecraft Special DK colour and code at the beginning of each round. Note that Stylecraft Special DK and Scheepjes Colour Crafter share the same colour codes! Isn’t that fab!?

Hook Size: 4mm

Completed Size: 25cm/ 10” diameter ( including the ch15 loops ).

Additional Materials: 10” Embroidery Hoop, Tapestry Needle, Craft Scissors, Clear All-Purpose Glue, Hangy-Thingy ( optional ) in this case a Silver Leaf from an unused necklace.

Stitches and Terms You Should Know: Beginning ( beg ), Wrong Side ( WS ), Right Side ( RS ), Space ( sp ), Magic Ring ( MR ), Chain ( ch ), Slip Stitch ( ss ), Single Crochet ( sc ), Half Double Crochet ( hdc ), Double Crochet ( dc ), Treble ( tr ), Double Treble ( dtr ), Triple Treble ( ttr ), Working Stitches Together ( dc/tr/dtrtog ), Back and Front Post Stitches ( sc/hdc/dcbp or fp ), Puff and Popcorn Stitches.

Rnd 4: I say skip hdc’s from Rnd 3, but of course we are skipping dc’s.
