This pattern is part of the eBook “Berlin - wrapped in Red”, the result of a collaboration between Steffi Palm & Marion Bulin, owners of Yarn over Berlin, and their fabulous and creative friends. The eBook is part of the Malabrigo Freelance pattern project and features several Malabrigo yarns used for ten red patterns named after Berlin´s districts, rivers or sights.

Flowers and butterflies, two of my favorite things which are captured in the Botanischer Garten. This crescent shaped, lace shawl is knit top down with a flower and butterfly lace and cable border as well as a middle flower lace panel. The crescent shape stays nicely put and won’t slip of your shoulders. Inspired by the thought of keeping warm on a cool Berlin summer evening wrapped in flowers and butterflies, this delicate shawl came to be and will beautifully compliment any outfit throughout the year.
