Can be made with fine or coarse crochet cotton, according to the size of the lamp use. If for a small lamp it should be made of J. & P. Coats Mercerized Crochet Cotton, No. 100, but if the shade is large, then from No. 30 to 50 should be used, and as many open meshes worked around the design as may be required to fit the space for medallion.
