Inspired by an evergreen wreath, Bough features a lovely wreath of pine boughs wrapped around the shoulders. Bough is knit seamlessly from the top down in the round. The sweater is knit to a cropped length for layering over dresses and skirts. The top-down construction makes it easy to add length if you would like. Short rows are worked underneath the colorwork to shape the neckline.

Or worsted weight yarn in the following amounts:

(915, 1010, 1060, 1145, 1225) (1315, 1405, 1470, 1625, 1710) yards / (837, 924, 969, 1047, 1121) (1203, 1285, 1345, 1486, 1564) meters MC,

(100, 110, 117, 124, 134) (144, 154, 161, 175, 185) yards / (92, 101, 107, 114, 123) (132, 141, 148, 161, 170) meters CC worsted weight yarn.

Note: Yardage estimate is for the cropped length. For a full-length sweater, you will need more MC yarn.

NEEDLES
One 40-inch (100 cm) US size 6 (4 mm) (or size needed to obtain gauge), and one 32-inch (80 cm) US size 4 (3.5 mm) (or two whole sizes smaller than gauge needle) circular knitting needles.

Note: You may want to knit the colorwork portion of the yoke on a needle one size larger than your gauge / main working needle.

NOTIONS
One stitch marker, waste yarn, and a tapestry needle.

GAUGE
18.5 stitches and 27 RNDs = 4 inches / 10 cm in stockinette on US size 6 (4 mm) needles.

Note: This gauge is a normal worsted weight yarn gauge. Typically, I use US size 7 needles with worsted weight yarn so you may need to use US size 7 needles if you use a different worsted weight yarn.
