Recommends the use of J. & P. Coats Mercerized Crochet Cotton, No. 30.

The pattern includes a center medallion with border of eight single roses to each side, of which the rose border will be duplicated outside the motif when constructed. These crocheted motifs are to be sewn into a heavy linen, with the second border set about 8 inches from edge of the center motif.

When tightly worked, the medallion as illustrated (including border) will measure about 25 inches square.
