Variegated yarns are specially dyed to create stripes when you knit. Try this hand-dyed version to make a dapper bow tie any fella will love. The neckband can be made to fit any neck size. With the top button fastened, measure around the neckband of the shirt the tie will be worn with. Knit the neckband 1/2” (1.3 cm) longer than this measurement.

BONUS: Bow ties make great headbands, too. Measure carefully around your head, then make the band ½“ (1.3 cm) shorter than that measurement. (Headband will stretch to fit.)
