A machine knitting pattern for the Bow Tie Top!

Cutesy and fun, this top is perfect as an everyday
comfy option or can be dressed up for special
occasions! I created this top in summer 2025, and it quickly
became one of my most-worn pieces.

This pattern is for standard gauge domestic flatbed knitting machines.

Uk sizes 6-16

This pattern is recommended for intermediate to experienced knitters, however if you’re an ambitious beginner the pattern does include a step by step break down of every skill you need to know with photos.

You will need 1x cone of 2 different colours of Yeoman 4ply Cotton yarn (or 2x per colour of their 2ply yarns worked together.) Or other equivalent yarn.
