Yarn
Bowie the Bear is made from the standard yarn cotton 8/4 (50 g = about 170 m) and the yarn Soft Sensation from Lammy Yarns (25 g = 200 m). You can use any brand of yarn you like, or any type of yarn that matches the hook size. You will need the following amounts and colors:
– Cotton 8/4, light brown: about 41 g
– Soft Sensation, light brown (color as close to the cotton 8/4 as possible): about 19 g
(you can also use another brand/kind of yarn, just something that’s thin and fluffy)
– Cotton 8/4, brown: about 1 g (only for the nose)

Besides yarn, you will also need

• Stuffing
• Needle and scissors

Crochet hook
2,0-2,5 mm/US size B-1
If you are used to using a different sized hook for cotton 8/4 you can do that, but it might have a small impact on the size of the finished product, and the needed amount of yarn. You can check the crochet gauge to make sure you have the right sized needle.

Crochet gauge
10 cm wide (approximately 3.9 inches) = 22 stitches (single crochet)
If you have less than 24 stitches on 10 cm, then switch to a smaller sized hook.
If you have more than 24 stitches on 10 cm, then switch to a larger sized hook.
