This pattern can be purchased individually or as a part of the Bowties Are Cool Companion Collection E-book.

This textured looped cowl is a fashionable, cozy accessory for yourself or your favorite Whovian. It has a very subtle design for those that wish to show their pride without wearing their sonic screwdriver on their sleeve.

Designed to coordinate with the entire Bowties Are Cool Companion Collection of Dr. Who themed accessories.

The loop is begun with a provisional cast on, and is worked in the round. The motif has a 20 st repeat—feel free to customize your cowl to your size preference. The sample shown is worked over 100 sts (5 pattern repeats) and is worked 3 times through all pattern rows. You can use the chart or written instructions, depending on your preference. Once the desired length has been reached, the provisional sts are replaced on a second needle and the two ends are Kitchenered together to create a continuous loop.

Sizes: Customizable—shown with 100 sts and worked 3 times through.
Finished Size: Width 8.5” laid flat, total length 35” around.

Suggested Yarn: Fingering Weight yarn in one or two colors.

Shown in Colinette Jitterbug (100% Merino, 400 yds per 150g skein); 3 skeins Morello Mash #159.

Yarn yardages: approx. 700-900 yds

Needles: Two pairs of 3.25mm/US size 3* circular needles. Choose an appropriate length (or magic loop) depending on the number of sts you CO. (It is acceptable to use one size smaller for the second needle set if you don’t have two in the same size—the second needle is used to replace the held sts on to prepare for Kitchenering.)

Always check gauge. Adjust needle size to obtain proper gauge.

Notions: Crochet hook, waste yarn for provisional CO, 1 stitch marker, tapestry needle.
