Everybody loves a good pair of fingerless mitts—especially if they have a Dr. Who theme! Designed to complement the Bowties Are Cool Shawl, these mitts are an excellent way to use up some leftover yarn to keep your hands warm in nerdy style.

Or pick up the entire Bowties Are Cool Companion Collection for the entire set of Dr. Who themed accessories!

The beginning of the cuff of the mitts is knit flat, then joined and knit in the round to the top. Charts and written instructions are provided to work the lace motif at the wrist. Increases are worked on either side of the center thumb stitch and then removed to waste yarn while the remainder of the mitt is worked. Those stitches are picked up and worked at the end to form the thumb.
