The Box It Up Blanket gives the appearance of a patchwork blanket, without all the fuss of finishing.
The blanket is knit in one piece. The garter stitch edging is knit along with the blanket, so no finishing required (other than weaving in your ends, and blocking).
It is another fun and enjoyable blanket pattern, for knitters who enjoy simple knits and purls, with impressive results!

Pattern includes clearly written instructions for 3 sizes.
Small - 22” x 27”
Medium - 32” x 40”
Large - 44” x 50”
Sizes are approximate, and after blocking.

Blanket is worked seamlessly, in one piece.
Pattern consists of stockinette stitch squares, surrounded by garter stitch borders.

Materials required include approximately 360/700/1225 yds chunky weight yarn (for sizes Small/Medium/Large) and size 10.5 circular needles, 24” - 32”.

Recommended Gauge is 3.5 stitches = 1” in stockinette stitch.
Change needle size as necessary, to achieve correct gauge and/or a fabric that you like.
Since this is a blanket, exact gauge is not critical. It will, however, affect the finished size and amount of yarn used.

Sample was knit in size small, using 3 skeins of Vintage Chunky, color 6112 (Minty).

Enjoy knitting this pattern, and please post photos of your finished blankets!
