Box Stitch Special Blanket
This was Inspired by the rag rugs of years gone by, and easily adapts to any decorating style (picture samples include neutral for a fixer-upper style, a cottage garden, and a bold high-contrast version). Use as few or as many colors as you wish. Size is determined by the maker, not the pattern; length can be stopped at any time and finished off with a border or simple hdc row. Also, if you’re in for a quick scarf it works for that too (pattern is marked as to where to leave off). Being based on a box stitch what little counting needs done is fairly fast and easy. The ends are tied rather than tucked/buried.
Personal note: This makes up pretty quickly and is a favorite for me because of the variety in colors and stitches.
Difficulty level: Advanced beginner.
