Boxed Set is a baby-sized cloth for monumental messes.

Featuring squares within squares, Boxed Set is a simple cloth pattern based on a traditional dishcloth pattern. It’s worked on the bias, and is great for practicing a variety of increases and decreases – as well as chart reading.

The term “boxed set” refers to the boxes within boxes on the cloth, and recalls those special gift sets of books that I always loved to receive as a child.

Make a set of cloths and pair them with your favorite picture book for a great baby shower gift.

My take on the classic “Grandmother’s Favorite” cloth begins with just one stitch and is worked corner to corner, increasing one stitch per row. Once the desired length of two sides is reached, cloth decreases by one stitch per row to complete the other two sides of the square.
