A short, cropped pullover was in order.  This way, the weight of the sweater, which is very thick, would not impede Lisa's active and athletic lifestyle. Keeping the sweater in stockinette stitch not only reduces thickness in an already-bulky yarn, it is most conducive to easy knitting…The rib is not a 'true' rib but a variation called Beaded Rib, where every other row is knit across rather knit1, purl1….
