Braco Cardigan
Braco Cardigan is available at a 50% discount with coupon code BRACO50, valid until midnight (GMT) on 12th June.
A sweet and simple cardigan with a pretty lace pattern. Casual enough for everyday wear and delicate enough to throw on over an occasion dress, this is sure to become a wardrobe staple. Knitted in light fingering yarn, this is perfect for Spring, Summer and Autumn wear. The lace pattern at the shoulders and hem adds interest to an otherwise easy knit.
We cast on stitches at the shoulders and work down the upper back working short rows at the shoulders and armhole shaping, as well as knitting a gorgeous lace design with cute nupps as we go. Stitches are picked up at each shoulder for the fronts where we work shaping to match the back, then we join all stitches at the underarms and work down to the hem. Increases are worked at the inner edge of both fronts for a little extra cosiness! Stitches are picked up around the inside edge and worked in neat ribbing. Finally, we pick up stitches around both armholes and work sleeves down to the cuffs.
Braco is a village in Highland Perthshire which we often visit in the warmer months. Braco Castle Gardens are a real hidden gem with forest, ponds and wildflower meadows. A forest green cardigan is just what I needed to keep the chill at bay while exploring the gardens.
