This pattern is for decorative, stuffed cabled pumpkins. It is adjustable to make different sizes. You can use ANY weight yarn. I used a size US 9 needle with bulky weight yarn. A US size 7 needle with worsted weight yarn. A US size 4 needle with Sport weight Yarn and a US size 0 to 1.5 needle with fingering weight yarn. Pumpkin is worked in a round from the bottom up. Sewn closed at the bottom, weighted with flat marbles and stuffed. The stem is added after closing the top, by picking up stitches. I used circular needles, but DPNS might be easier for the stem. Instructions for adjusting the height of the pattern are included in the instructions. It is a very simple cable pattern that I use to teach beginners to do cables.
