This very easy pattern is used at 3 Kittens Needle Arts to teach our beginning knitting classes. Strips of garter, stockinette and seed stitch are braided together to produce a beautiful wearable piece.

Size: approximately 37.5 “ circumference. To make the cowl longer or shorter, simply increase or decrease the length of the strips.

Gauge: Because this is a beginner project, gauge is not important. Our sample was knit at 3 sts/inch in stockinette.

Materials Needed: one skein each of three colors of Berroco Peruvia Quick (100% wool, 103 yards/skein) or a suitable bulky/super bulky substitute.
