This is a free pattern for a braided cowl. It comes with options for customizing the pattern, so don’t feel that you have to use worsted weight yarn and size 6 needles. Follow the pattern instructions to knit specific measurements and use any yarn/needles you like. Add your own twist with a different stitch pattern or using more than one color if you like.
Finishing options include grafting/kitchener, button holes or seaming/fake grafting.
I’d say this project is suitable for an advanced beginner. You only need to know how to knit and purl, but the directions themselves aren’t super simplistic.
