Spreading some knitty joy during this difficult festive season -- all Katie Flora Knits patterns are on sale for $2 for one week, until midnight Friday 11th December. Stay well, and keep knitting. <3

Luxurious and romantic, Brambleberry features a generous crescent body and tips that curl like tendrils. Rapidly-worked increases give the shawl a crescent that’s firm at the top to envelop your shoulders, and drapey and full in the body to flow and move with you.

Worked from the top down, Brambleberry increases on both every right side and every wrong side and includes a graceful ombre transition between the main and contrast colours. The bramble lace border is worked on both the right side and wrong side, and directions are provided in both charted and written form.

Directions are also included for a single-colour version, which places the focus on the graceful lace border.

Difficulty Level

Adventurous Beginner – Intermediate.

Yarn

Two-colour version: Main Colour: Ixchel Silver Star Sock 100g 430m/470yd (1). Contrast Colour: Ixchel Fingering Weight Sock Yarn 100g 410m/448yd (1).

Choose two speckled colourways that share characteristics in tone, hue, etc to achieve a similar ombre transition.

Single-colour version: The Fibre Company Canopy Fingering 50g 182m/200yd in ‘Quetzal’ (5).

If substituting yarn, choose at least 840m/920yd of light to heavy fingering weight with good drape. Ensure you have sufficient yardage as Sample 1 used almost all of both skeins.
