Bras de Vert Shrug
This textured accessory pattern is originally created for the Wool’Up Box for September 2026 from Une Maille à la Fois, in Sciez, France.
The assignment given by Stéphanie from UMALF was simple: create a pattern for an accessory knitted with 2 skeins of their fingering-weight yarn.
The Bras-de-Vert Shrug is knitted from the top down, starting with a neat folded collar.
The body sections are worked flat in Brioche Rib Stitch, ending with an Icelandic bind-off.
The sleeves are worked in the round in Stockinette Stitch, with a lace pattern running all the way to the cuffs.
The textured body sections provide a lovely contrast to the not-too-complicated lace sections on the sleeves, which add an extra twist to the design.
Both written instructions and a chart for the lace section are included in the pattern.
