Breakdance!

These textured ankle warmers and matching wrist warmers are fun to wear! Each stripe features a technique that I call ‘Grab Stitch’ that creates folds in the fabric which give your knitting a wavy look, as well as help to lock in that heat. It is knitted flat then seamed.

Sizing & Fitting for Ankle Warmers
Finished size (assembled): 10.25” (26 cm) / 11.5” (29 cm) / 12.5” (32 cm) circumference at upper ankle/lower leg. Fitting: It is designed to fit loosely at the main body of the warmers, but tighter at the ribbing trims. For a more secure fit at the top, suggest threading elastic cord through the stitches of the bind off edge.

Sizing for Wrist Warmers
Finished size (assembled): 6.5” (16.5 cm) / 7.75” (19.5 cm) / 9.75” (25 cm) circumference. To fit wrist circumference: 6.25” (16 cm) / 7.5” (19 cm) / 9.5” (24 cm). Fitting: It is designed to fit evenly at the main body of the warmers, but slightly tighter at the ribbing trims.

Ankle Warmers:
Colour 1 (C1): S: 166 yds (152 m) / M: 183 yds (168 m) / L: 200 yds (183 m). Colour 2 (C2): S: 141 yds (129 m) / M: 156 yds (143 m) / L: 170 yds (156 m).

Wrist Warmers:
Colour 1 (C1):S: 72yds (66m) / M: 85yds (78m) / L: 107yds (98m). Colour 2 (C2): S: 61yds (56m) / M: 72yds (66m) / L: 90yds (83m).

Size S only: 2 skeins of the suggested yarn (1 of each colour) will be enough to make both pairs of Ankle Warmers and Wrist Warmers.

Tools & Notions
4.5mm(US7) or size required to get gauge) needles; 3.5mm (US5) needles; measuring tape and tapestry needle for seaming and weaving in ends. Optional: approx. 27” (70cm) of elastic cord (to hold the top end of the ankle warmers).
