Breaking Dormancy is a gentle knit for contemplative days. The blossoming buds remind me of the changing of seasons and the arrival of spring, when, after a long and dreary winter, the trees awaken and offer promise of new and different times.

Knit with lovely hand-dyed ‘Meadow Sock’ by High Country Wool (90% fine merino wool and 10% shetland), Breaking Dormancy is worked bottom-up with a simple raglan yoke and rounded neck. Short row shaping in the back adds depth for comfort and fit.
