I fell in love with Everlea’s “Cosmos” colourway and knew that I wanted to do something otherworldly with it. Quasars are highly luminous objects that are farther away from our planet than anything else in our universe. Quasar light that reaches us has travelled billions of years to find earth. The subtle tonal quality to this yarn offers glimmers of hidden light, making it perfectly suited to its name. These distant lights add dimension to the cables without detracting from the larger structure, and I love it.

Distant Quasar Hat is a classic unisex toque for cold and wet days outdoors. The folded brim and timeless cables add extra warmth and comfort. This hat is knit bottom up with a repeating cablework chart and separate crown chart.

Sample is shown in Everlea Fingering “Cosmos” colourway held double with Everlea Mohair/Silk.
