Worked seamlessly from the bottom up, featuring lace panels and a shawl collar that make it a cardigan that you don’t want to take off.

If substituting yarn, a heather, tweed, solid or semisolid yarn in worsted weight works best. Any fibre too drapey, heavy or variegated, either in color or texture of fibre, is not recommended.

Yarn: 7 (7, 8, 9)(10, 11, 12) skeins of Hudson Worsted by The Yarn Collective (85% merino wool, 15% yak, 197 yds / 180 m ? 100 g ), colourway Beacon Natural (401). Or approx. 1200 (1300, 1450, 1600)(1800, 2000, 2200) yds / 1097 (1189, 1326, 1463)(1646, 1829, 2012) m of worsted weight yarn.

Needles: US 7 (4.5 mm) 32” (80 cm) needles for the main fabric, or size needed to get gauge. US 8 (5 mm) needles (one size larger than gauge needles) for pockets, ribbing at hem and collar.

Notions: Removable stitch markers, tapestry needle, waste yarn or stitch holders.

GAUGE
20 sts and 28 rows = 4 inches (10 cm) in stockinette stitch on smaller needles, after blocking.

20 sts and 28 rows = 4 inches (10 cm) in 1x1 ribbing on larger needles, after blocking.

22 sts and 28 rows = 4 inches (10 cm) in 1x1 ribbing on smaller needles (sleeve cuff), after blocking.

41 st back lace panel is 9.5 inches / 24 cm wide. Each 17 st front panel is 3.25 inches / 8 cm wide. All measurements based on finished, blocked fabric.
