The Briar Gauntlets are a DK weight fingerless mitt, with a long cuff and are knitted in the round. They have a textured stitch pattern, representing different layers of the hedgerow.

I designed them to match my Briar Shawl pattern, and they’re perfect for keeping your hands cosy through the cooler months! Like the shawl, this pattern celebrates the biodiversity found in hedgerows, as well as all the little birds, insects and wildflowers that call them home.

They feature a long, twisted rib cuff, textured stitches on the back of the hand, a 1x3 twisted rib palm, and a twisted rib thumb.

Difficulty
Because of the different textured stitches I feel it is an intermediate knitting pattern, but it is really a personal choice. There’s also a video tutorial with the pattern.
