Brick & Mortar is an easy-to-remember intuitive sock pattern reminiscent of an old brick building adorned with tiny windows. This design pairs splendidly with self-striping yarn but would be equally awesome with mini-skeins or scraps, alternating the colors every 7 or 14 rounds.

This pattern is rated as easy but could easily be tackled by an adventurous beginner as the pattern has helpful links to not only achieve a proper fit but give you some insight into what to look for in a sock yarn!

Worked in the round, Brick & Mortar contains both cuff-down and toe-up written directions and a chart for the pattern stitch. The pattern has instructions for an afterthought heel, but you may substitute whatever heel you enjoy using.

The pattern is written for the magic loop method for knitting socks; however, the design could be worked on double-pointed needles or mini-circulars instead should you prefer.
