A beautiful bulky wool is showcased in this textured pattern that reminds me of brick streets found in several European cities. The main color is worked back and forth in a rectangle. Then, stitches are picked up along the perimeter in a contrasting color to frame the blanket with garter stitch. Different yarn weights can easily be substituted for varying blanket sizes.
