This little Bride and Groom could be used as wedding cake toppers … not edible, of course, but they can be kept as keepsakes of the special day. Worked predominantly in stockinette, each uses increases and decreases for shaping, and the hair is embroidered on the doll after knitting. The bride uses a 3-needle join to attach the skirt. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the toys are knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round).

Three 3.75mm single pointed knitting needles (US 5)

RECOMMENDED YARN
Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; one 100g/280m skein in each colour

NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, toy filling, embroidery thread and small flower buttons to decorate.

One size only - The bride and groom are each 9.5cm tall.

TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish.
