The Bridge View Cowl is the 2 colour fairisle companion accessory to the Bridge View Beanie that was designed for Convent & Chapel Convent Irish Tweed. Rustic and authentic - just like the Bridge View Inn that is its namesake, this cowl is a delight to knit and wear in this original Irish Tweed yarn.

Yarn Requirements
M (main colour): 50g / .8 oz of Convent & Chapel Convent Irish Tweed which is 235m/257yd per 100g/3.5oz (sample used col. Sherlock Holmes).
C (contrast colour): 50g / 1.8 oz of Convent & Chapel Convent Irish Tweed which is 235m/257yd per 100g/3.5oz (sample used col. Tess of the D’Urbervilles).

Needles & Notions
3.5mm (US 4) and 4mm (US6) needles. You can use a set of DPNs, a single 40cm (16”) circular needle, or a pair of circular needles (if you like to use the Magic Loop method).
1 stitch marker for marking the beginning of rounds and 13 additional markers for repeats.

Tension/Gauge
23 sts x 28 rounds to 10cm (4”) over colourwork pattern in the round after blocking.

Size after blocking (approx.):
Circumference: 61cm/ 24”
Length: 25 cm/ 9 2/3”

Technique:
The alternating cable cast on is great for this project and this video from New Stitch a Day will show you how to do it. However, any cast-on you feel comfortable with is fine.
