Bright Sparks Hat is cast on and a short rib hem is worked before moving into the faux cable and rib pattern. A short rib pattern section is followed by decreases at the top of the hat. A pom-pom can be added and your little Bright Sparks hat is ready!

This is the perfect quick project – a lovely gift knit, or for using up bigger amounts of leftovers. With the rib texture, it fits lots of different heads, from children to adults. You can even eliminate the pattern and work just the k3, p2 rib up the hat for a simpler version.
