This Brigid Goddess Crochet Doll Pattern is ideal for advanced crocheters, who also enjoy intricate embroidery.

Whether you use it to crochet a Realistic Celtic Goddess for your altar, or create an Heirloom Pagan Doll that will be in your family for generations, this project involves a range of different interesting crochet and embroidery techniques for you to learn.

If you are not comfortable with the embroidery part of the pattern, you could just as well use it to craft a beautiful doll without an embroidered face.
You have the option of embedding craft wire into the legs and arms, making them posable.

ABOUT THE PATTERN:
The keepsake doll pattern has detailed step-by-step instructions that are accompanied by many high-quality photos of the process and five video tutorials for the more challenging parts of the pattern, including the realistic doll face embroidery.

This listing includes photo tutorials on how to make a magic ring, invisible decreases in single crochet, color changes in single crochet, invisible finishes and closing small rounds.

LANGUAGE: English (US) ONLY

SKILL-LEVEL: advanced crochet pattern, detailed doll face embroidery

CONSTRUCTION:
The boots, legs, torso, arms, neck and head are crocheted without sewing, from
the bottom up.
There is the option of inserting craft wire frames into the doll’s legs and arms,
so they can bend and hold their position.
The hair is crocheted separately, and then stitched onto the head.
The mouth, nose, eyes and eyebrows are embroidered.
The skirt, bodice and cloak are separate items that can be removed.

SIZE:
The doll will be about 8” (20 cm) tall if using the indicated yarn weight and hook
size. If you want her to be larger or smaller, you can use a different yarn weight
and adjust the hook size accordingly.
